The Blue Ghost Arcade

The Blue Ghost Arcade began its operation in Woodstock, Georgia, on June 9, 2021, and continues to serve as a retro arcade and bar for the local community. Situated in downtown Woodstock, the venue aims to bridge the gap between classic gaming experiences and new generations of players. It features a diverse collection of over 40 retro arcade cabinets, including titles like Pac-Man, Galaga, Mortal Kombat, and The Simpsons Arcade Game, alongside a selection of pinball machines with themes such as Back to the Future and The Twilight Zone. Beyond coin-operated games, The Blue Ghost Arcade also provides a variety of gaming consoles, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo 64, along with board games.

Operating on a flat daily admission fee for unlimited play, with monthly pass options, the establishment encourages extended engagement with its offerings. Complementing the gaming attractions, a full bar offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a concession stand provides snacks, with guests permitted to bring in outside food. The arcade hosts regular community events such as trivia nights, Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, and other gaming-focused gatherings, solidifying its role as a social and recreational hub in Woodstock. Owner Bug McBride personally restored many of the arcade cabinets, emphasizing a passion for preserving and sharing gaming history.
