Located in Forest City, North Carolina, the Carolina Arcade Museum opened its doors in August 2018, aiming to rekindle the classic arcade experience for both long-time enthusiasts and new generations. The museum features an extensive collection of over 95 vintage arcade and pinball machines, all set to free play with a single admission. Visitors can enjoy iconic titles such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and a variety of pinball machines, along with lesser-known classics like Smash TV, Toobin, and a rare X-Men cabinet.
Conceived by owners Dave Walker and Chris, who sought to share their passion for gaming and preserve arcade history, the museum serves as a family-friendly recreational hub in the Forest City community. It provides a nostalgic atmosphere for adults, allowing them to relive childhood memories, while introducing younger visitors to the origins of video gaming in a social, interactive setting, contrasting with contemporary individual gaming experiences. The museum continually expands its collection and fosters a positive and engaging environment for all ages.
