Operating in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1998 to 2000, Funscape provided a brief but memorable indoor amusement experience for the local community. Situated adjacent to The Mall at Green Hills, the venue was developed by Regal Cinemas alongside a 16-screen megaplex. Funscape was described as an indoor amusement park, offering attractions that included a virtual roller coaster and ball blasters, creating a vibrant entertainment hub that some fondly recalled as “Chuck E. Cheese on steroids.”
Despite its short two-year run, Funscape left a significant impression on Nashville residents. Regal Cinemas ultimately discontinued the Funscape concept in 2000, and the space was subsequently repurposed for offices. The venue functioned as a unique recreational destination, particularly for families and youth, by combining the novelty of an indoor amusement park with a modern cinema experience.
