This location was part of a broader expansion by Mr. Gatti’s, which acquired numerous franchised units in and around Nashville around 1987. For many growing up in the Sylvan Park area, the Murphy Road establishment became a significant part of their childhood memories.
The venue combined its signature all-you-can-eat pizza buffet with an arcade, offering a hybrid recreation experience. Patrons could enjoy a meal before moving to the game room, which typically featured a variety of arcade games such as pinball, Skeeball, and Galaga. This blend of food and entertainment made it a popular spot for families and youth, particularly after events like soccer games. The Mr. Gatti’s on Murphy Road ceased operations around 2011, becoming the last known Mr. Gatti’s in the Nashville area at that time.
