The Grid Arcade Bar, located at 2414 N Pace Blvd in Pensacola, Florida, opened its doors in November 2022. The establishment was founded by Daniel Demeter, an enthusiast with a history of restoring vintage arcade games. Demeter’s vision for The Grid emerged after he acquired a former warehouse that had once served as the base for Pensacola Automatic Amusement, a company dedicated to restoring coin-operated machines. He subsequently prepared the space and curated a collection that blended games left in the building with those from his personal collection. The venue operates as an all-ages destination until 9 PM, shifting to an 18+ environment thereafter.
The Grid Arcade Bar offers a diverse collection of over 50 classic and modern arcade games, alongside pinball machines, providing a nostalgic experience for visitors. Its selection includes timeless titles such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, as well as newer options like Dance Dance Revolution and Mario Kart Arcade GP, with the oldest games dating back to the early 1970s. The bar features a “Tron-themed” atmosphere and serves a variety of craft beers and wine-based cocktails. Beyond gaming, The Grid hosts regular events like tournaments and themed nights, and has been recognized as an award-winning arcade bar in the local community for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Tokens used for gameplay are reproductions of a World War II-era brothel token, a detail the owner discloses to patrons.
