Beer Study, a prominent craft beer bar and bottle shop, opened its Durham, North Carolina location around February 2017, establishing itself as a significant community hub in the Rockwood area. This venue, a second location to its Chapel Hill counterpart, quickly became a neighborhood favorite known for its inviting atmosphere and extensive selection. Beer Study features approximately 40 constantly rotating taps, offering a diverse range of craft beers, including those from Starpoint Brewing, which shares the space.
Beyond its beverage offerings, Beer Study provides a multifaceted entertainment experience. The establishment includes an arcade area with games such as pinball, skeeball, and air hockey, alongside a dedicated game room. In January 2023, Beer Study expanded to incorporate The Boot Room, a soccer pub that further enhanced the venue with additional arcade games, event space, and a partnership with Al’s Burger Shack for food service. The venue regularly hosts community events, including trivia nights, film clubs, and wine study Wednesdays, solidifying its role as a vibrant gathering place for local residents and craft beer enthusiasts alike.
