The Cone

The Cone, a distinctive ice cream establishment in West Chester, Ohio, has served the local community from its iconic cone-shaped building since July 1995. The Wren family, who began their ice cream business in 1973 at an original location in Lockland-Reading, Ohio, transported the unique building from Florida in 1993 to establish this beloved West Chester landmark. Beyond its well-known soft-serve ice cream, particularly the orange and vanilla swirl, The Cone offers family-friendly entertainment, including an indoor game room featuring classic arcade games like pinball, Pacman, and Galaga, alongside outdoor kiddie rides.

Recognized as a prominent fixture in the West Chester area, The Cone is frequently cited as one of Cincinnati’s best soft-serve ice cream spots and has been named one of the “Top Ten Quirkiest Places to Visit in the U.S.” It functions as a seasonal recreational hub, fostering countless memories for families and youth. While the Wren family announced their intention to retire and sell the business in September 2024, they aim for a new owner to continue its traditions and recipes, ensuring its enduring legacy in the community.
