Canal Street Arcade and Deli operates at 308 East 1st Street in Dayton, Ohio, a location rich in local history. The current establishment, which opened in mid-to-late 2017, revitalized the former site of the Canal Street Tavern, an iconic live music venue that served the community from 1981 to 2012. After a brief period as Canal Public House, the space merged the concept of the long-standing Fifth Street Deli with an arcade, creating a unique hybrid entertainment and dining experience in downtown Dayton.
Today, Canal Street Arcade and Deli functions as a dedicated recreational and culinary destination. It features a diverse selection of classic arcade games, many of which are free to play, alongside a collection of pinball machines, including modern titles and vintage favorites. The venue also offers a full-service bar with craft beers and a deli serving made-to-order sandwiches, pizzas, and other fare, utilizing quality ingredients.
