Arcade Monsters: Oviedo opened in December 2018 as the inaugural location for the Arcade Monsters chain. Founded by Adrian Ravelo, a Florida Tech alumnus, and his business partner Andy Rodriguez, the venue was conceived to revive the classic arcade experience of the 1980s and 1990s, reminiscent of Ravelo’s father’s arcade from that era. Located at 15 Alafaya Woods Blvd. Suite 111 in Oviedo, Florida, this destination has become a significant recreational hub, known for its extensive collection of games and immersive atmosphere.
The Oviedo location offers a diverse array of over 150 arcade games, encompassing retro classics from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, numerous pinball machines, a wide selection of Japanese rhythm games, modern console titles, and various experiential games. Visitors enjoy unlimited play for a flat entry fee, allowing access to popular titles like Dance Dance Revolution, Frogger, and an array of fighting games. Beyond gaming, Arcade Monsters: Oviedo features a blacklight bar serving themed drinks, craft beer, and wine, along with a food menu offering classic American and Cuban fare. The venue hosts parties, tournaments, and special events, all within an environment adorned with unique blacklight, anime, and gaming murals, fostering a family-friendly atmosphere that transitions to a more adult ambiance in the evenings and has built a strong community around gaming.
