Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. on Merrimon Avenue, originally opened in 1995 as Two Moons Brew-N-View, was established as a unique combination of a pizza restaurant, brewpub, and second-run movie theater. In late 1997, Mike Rangel and Leigh Oder, along with brewer Doug Riley, took over the establishment, officially reopening it as Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. on January 1, 1998, making it Asheville’s third craft brewery. This location quickly became a cherished local destination, offering a family-friendly atmosphere that continues to draw visitors today.
The venue provides a diverse entertainment experience, featuring a 150-seat dine-in movie theater that screens both new releases and affordable second-run films. Complementing the cinematic offerings, an expansive arcade room is available, equipped with various coin-operated games like air hockey and skee-ball, alongside a large television screen often used for sports viewing. Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. remains a vital community hub, celebrated for its enduring appeal as a multi-attraction recreational spot for all ages.
