Cahaba Brewing Company

Cahaba Brewing Company began as a hobby among friends in the summer of 2011, officially opening to the public in September 2012 in Birmingham, Alabama’s Pepper Place/Lakeview district. This initial 8,000-square-foot location served the community until January 2016, when the brewery relocated to a 51,000-square-foot facility within the historic Continental Gin complex in East Avondale. The company continues to operate today, drawing its name from the Cahaba River, reflecting a commitment to Alabama’s natural heritage.

Beyond its consistent craft beer offerings, Cahaba Brewing Company has established itself as a community hub. The venue features an arcade area, which has included skeeball machines and a rotating collection of pinball machines over the years, with titles such as AC/DC, Attack from Mars, and Deadpool. It regularly hosts “Goodwill Game Nights” with various activities like Rock’em Sock’em Robots, cornhole, and trivia, supporting local charities, and “Music Match Game Days.” The brewery’s dedication to community engagement and local partnerships earned it recognition as Alabama’s 2017 Silver Retailer of the Year.
