Ghost Train Brewing Co. operated at 3501 1st Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama, from February 2022 until its closure in mid-2024. The brewery was founded in 2014, initially contract brewing, before opening its first taproom at 2616 3rd Avenue South in October 2016. This original location was known for its craft beers and featured a game room equipped with pinball machines, a pool table, and a foosball table, serving as a casual gathering spot for the community.
In a significant expansion, Ghost Train Brewing Co. relocated to the larger 3501 1st Avenue South venue, a site previously known as Old Car Heaven, which opened in February 2022. This new location transformed into a prominent social and music venue, offering an expansive space with over 90 taps, a cocktail bar, and a large outdoor stage designed to host live music, comedy performances, and various community events like Bingo. Known as Birmingham’s first lagering brewery, Ghost Train contributed to the local craft beer scene with popular brews such as the Kaleidoscope Kettle Sour. However, due to mounting debts and pandemic-related challenges, the brewery filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2024, leading to the permanent closure of the 3501 1st Avenue South location. The site was later acquired by Good People Brewing Co. and reopened as All Good Beverage Co. in July 2025.
