Headquarters Beercade – Nashville

Headquarters Beercade Nashville operated at 114 2nd Avenue South in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, from its opening on May 3, 2017, until its closure on May 23, 2023. This Chicago-based entertainment venue established itself in a location that previously housed various dance clubs, undertaking a significant renovation that commenced in September 2015. Co-owners Brian Galati and Chireal Jordan envisioned an 80s-inspired space designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

The establishment offered a unique hybrid experience, featuring approximately 30-35 vintage arcade games and 10 pinball machines, most of which were free to play, including titles like Galaga, Donkey Kong, NBA Jam, and Mortal Kombat II. Beyond the games, Headquarters Beercade provided a selection of craft beers and a menu with Chicago-inspired fare. Its distinctive decor included walls adorned with 13,000 cassette tapes and televisions broadcasting classic shows such as American Gladiators and WWF wrestling, purposefully eschewing country music to cultivate a retro, alternative atmosphere. During its six-year tenure, the beercade served as a recreational alternative to the prevalent honky-tonk establishments downtown, attracting a diverse clientele seeking a multi-attraction entertainment option in the local community.
