16 Bit Bar + Arcade: Cincinnati

Operating in Cincinnati, Ohio, 16-Bit Bar+Arcade first opened its doors in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood in the first quarter of 2015, initially located at 1331 Walnut Street. The venue quickly became a notable “barcade” destination, offering a distinctive blend of classic arcade gaming and a full-service bar. It featured a rotating collection of over 50 vintage arcade games and pinball machines, allowing guests to enjoy unlimited gameplay with the purchase of a beverage. The establishment was known for its nostalgic atmosphere, featuring 80s and 90s-themed cocktails and music, with games like Missile Command, Q-Bert, and NBA Jam providing a recreational escape for both seasoned enthusiasts and casual visitors.

In April 2021, the original 16-Bit Bar+Arcade at 1331 Walnut Street closed, as its operations officially merged with its sister concept, Pins Mechanical Co., located at 1124 Main Street. This strategic consolidation, managed by parent company Rise Brands, integrated the established 16-Bit arcade experience into the Pins Mechanical Co. venue, which also offers duckpin bowling and additional entertainment. The combined Pins Mechanical Co. & 16-Bit Bar+Arcade at 1124 Main Street continues to operate as a prominent social and recreational hub, providing a diverse range of gaming and leisure activities in the heart of Cincinnati.
