Aladdin’s Castle was a popular electronic arcade located within the Courtland Center Mall, which opened in 1968 as the Eastland Mall. As a franchise, Aladdin’s Castle was known for providing a safe and welcoming amusement environment inside shopping malls, and this location was one of many that became a popular social hub for young people. The arcade was a notable tenant of the mall, which at its peak in 1994 housed 80 stores. Over the years, the mall saw a significant decline, and this Aladdin’s Castle location closed, with the broader arcade chain ceasing operations under its original name by 2021.
