Opened in the spring of 1991, Cedar Creek Sports Center served as a multi-attraction recreational hub for families in Mt. Juliet and the broader Middle Tennessee area. The center, initially opened by Tom Schunk, offered a variety of activities across its 16.5-acre property. Attractions included two 18-hole Putt-Putt courses, a golf driving range, a golf teaching facility with custom club fitting services, batting cages for baseball enthusiasts, Go Karts, and bumper boats. Additionally, the venue featured a game room and was a popular location for birthday parties.
For nearly three decades, Cedar Creek Sports Center provided diverse entertainment options for the local community. In February 2019, Jim Schunk, who had operated the center for twelve and a half years following his father, announced plans to redevelop the property into townhomes and commercial lots, effectively bringing an end to the sports center’s operation.
