Tomahawk Lake, also known as Fun Valley at Tomahawk Lake, originated in the 1950s as a private picnic and swimming club on the former McMickle Farm in Sparta Township, New Jersey. Founded by Howard and Pearl Laucks with Ernie and Phyllis Yonkers, the property was purchased by Chester Wallace in 1956, who later opened it to the public in the 1970s. The park began adding waterslides in 1978 and continues to operate today as Tomahawk Lake Water Park, offering a range of attractions for visitors.
