Lucchesi’s Beer Garden, located at 84 South Reese Street in Memphis, Tennessee, operates as a neighborhood cornerstone known for its extensive craft beer selection and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The establishment’s history traces back to 2001, when Basma Sakan Lucchesi’s mother opened Raffe’s Deli, offering Syrian dishes and imported beers. In 2006, the business expanded to include Raffe’s Beer Garden. Basma and her husband, Tony Lucchesi, took ownership of the beer garden side in 2012. After a period where the deli and package store operated separately, the couple reunited and rebranded the entire venture as Lucchesi’s Beer Garden: Deli, Package, & Parlor on August 13, 2021, revitalizing the family business.
Today, Lucchesi’s Beer Garden serves as a vibrant community hub, offering over 570 craft beers, including numerous local Memphis brews, alongside a menu featuring gyros, falafel, and paninis. Beyond its culinary and beverage offerings, the venue provides recreational appeal with three pinball machines: Batman, No Fear, and The Champion Pub, maintained by local pinball experts. Situated between the East Buntyn, Joffre, and High Point Terrace neighborhoods, Lucchesi’s is celebrated for its cozy atmosphere, commitment to supporting local breweries, and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among its patrons. The establishment maintains distinct spaces, offering both a casual daytime section and a 21-and-over bar area.
