Pinball in Pelham

Pinball in Pelham represented a series of pinball tournaments and league play events held in Pelham, Alabama, rather than a continuously operating public arcade venue. Organized by Southern Coin-Op, an amusement machine supplier and repair business, these gatherings brought together pinball enthusiasts at 108-A Hilltop Business Center Drive in Pelham, a location adjacent to the address referenced. Events such as “Pinball in Pelham 4 Plus!” in May 2019 and the “Pinball in Pelham Winter 2020 League Finals” in December 2020 showcased both Classics tournaments and group matchplay competitions.

The events featured a diverse selection of pinball machines, encompassing electromechanical, mid-era, and modern dot matrix display and LCD games. Participants could engage in casual play on various machines through coin drop, with pricing typically set at $1 for modern games, $0.50 for classics, and $0.25 for some older electromechanical titles. This format established “Pinball in Pelham” as a dedicated hub for competitive and recreational pinball within the local community during its operational period, fostering a vibrant environment for players of all skill levels.
