Cincinnati, OH (11400 Princeton Pike) originally opened on May 19, 1982 as a Pizza Time Theatre in the Casinelli Square Shopping Center. It was franchised by the ‘Electronic Theatre Resturants’. it would close in Fall 1984

On May 2, 1982 the’Electronic Theatre Restaurants’ would put a newspaper advertisement mentioning that ‘several new units to open in the Cincinnati area’ and that Pizza Time Theatre is looking for ‘Managers & Assistant Managers’, Also on May 2, 1982 PTT would put a newspaper advertisement for the location stated as ‘Opening Soon’ and would be ‘located in Casinelli Square Shopping Center’ with interviewing taking place on ‘May 5th and 6th between 10 a.m.-6 p.m.’ at the Carrousel Inn.. The Casinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would take over the former ‘Trumps’ resturant at the Casinelli Square Shopping Center which had previously operated in the shopping center closing in 1981.

The Casinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would open on May 19, 1982 as the first Pizza Time Theatre in the Cincinnati region. it would feature the Balcony Stage, The King / King Kat (Lounge), Dolli Dimples (Cyberamic), Cheese Crawl, and ‘Video and arcade games ranging from carousels for toddlers to the latest space age electronic games’

From October 27th – October 31st 1983 the Casinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would have a Halloween Party with ‘No tricks, Just Treats!’ guests would recieve ‘5 Tokens to anyone in costume, 3 tokens to anyone wearing Chuck E. Cheese’s ‘Headlights’, and ‘Trick or Treat’ Bags to Fan Club Members’

From November 24th – December 31st 1983 Cassinelli Square would hold Christmas themed parties ‘Only 2.95 Per Person’ guests would recieve’Pizza, soft drinks, tokens, and a special visit from Santa’s helper Chuck E. Cheese!’, ‘Personalized service from expert party hostesses’, ‘Brownies, girl scouts, boy scouts, cub scouts, team parties…adult parties, too. All receive a special Chuck E. Cheer’

In Feburary 1984 the Cassinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would introduce a new pizza with ‘Livelier and Zestier Sauce’

The Cassinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would partner with McAlpin’s throughout August 1984 with ‘Kid’s Day’ where you could win a ‘Fan Club Membership’, ‘Register to Win a Birthday Party’, and ‘Meet Chuck E. Cheese and Friends in Person’ also avaliable at participating McAlpin’s locations was ‘Free Cokes from 11AM – 1PM — All locations except Downtown and Towne Mall. Fasion Show at 10AM — all locations except Downtown and Towne Mall. Coloring Contest. and Free Balloons, Pizza Coupons and Back to SChool Supply Giveaways! All locations except Towne Mall.’. This event would take place ‘Saturday, August 4th — All stores except Downtown from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sunday, August 5th — Kenwood and Northgate from 2PM – 4PM. Saturday, August 11th — Cherry Grove and Western Hills from 2PM – 4PM. Saturday, August 18th — Kenwood and Northgate from 2PM – 4PM. Saturday, August 25th — Western Hills and Crestview from 2PM – 4PM’. You’d also been able to register to win a ‘M.A.C.H. 3 Laser Disc Arcade Game by Mylstar’ at any ‘McAlpin’s Boys’ or Girls’ department until August 25th.

The Casinelli Square Pizza Time Theatre would close during Fall 1984. The final apperance of the store would be in an October 6, 1984 advertisement. After closing Jungle Jim’s International Market would purchase the animatronics from auction and would begin being utilized beginning in 1988.

The space formerly occupied by the Pizza Time Theatre subdivided into two retail spaces. It would be re-occupied by ‘The Finish Line’ and ‘Beauti-Mart’. ‘Beauti-Mart’ would open in July 1985. and ‘The Finish Line’ in August 1985 . ‘Beauti-Mart’ would close in 1991 and ‘The Finish Line’ would close April 1994. . By the end of 1994 the spaces formerly occupied would be gutted while the mall was ‘de-malled’. The entrances for the subdivided properties that took over the former Pizza Time Theatre are still in use today with no plans for any major renovations.
