Rocketown, a faith-based youth outreach facility, began its journey in 1994 when contemporary Christian music artist Michael W. Smith founded it in Franklin, TN, with the vision of providing a safe, drug and alcohol-free space for teenagers. After a period of closure, Rocketown re-opened in downtown Nashville in 2003, later relocating to its current 40,000-square-foot facility at 601 4th Avenue South in August 2010, necessitated by the construction of the Music City Center.
Today, Rocketown continues to serve the Nashville community as a multifaceted hub for youth, offering a vibrant indoor skate park, a coffee bar, and multiple concert venues that host all-ages shows. Beyond entertainment, the facility provides after-school programs including classes in recording, film editing, art, and dance, along with an e-sports arena equipped with various gaming consoles. Rocketown remains dedicated to fostering a supportive community for young people, focusing on their holistic development through recreational activities, creative outlets, and mentoring.
