Starcade Amusements

Starrcade Amusements, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, within the Town Center Mall, opened its doors to the public around November 2023. This independent arcade emerged from an established arcade game repair service, founded by Shane Starr, which began in September 2021 and served entertainment centers across the Southeast. Starrcade Amusements distinguishes itself by offering a carefully curated collection of approximately 90 rare and cult-classic arcade games, dating from the 1980s through the early 2000s, including a notable selection of imported Japanese titles and unique music/rhythm games that are difficult to find elsewhere.

The venue provides a nostalgic yet modern gaming experience, featuring a diverse array of machines such as Miss Pac-Man, Galaga, the original six-player X-Men cabinet, Rampage World Tour, Gauntlet Legends, and specialized Japanese rhythm games like Pop’n Music and Chabudai. Starrcade Amusements has quickly become a significant recreational hub for the Kennesaw community, offering a distinctive entertainment option lauded by visitors for its unique game selection and welcoming atmosphere. Despite facing a brief closure in January 2025 due to external issues with the mall’s power bills, Starrcade Amusements continues to operate, striving to maintain its eclectic mix of games and serve as a “one-stop destination” for arcade enthusiasts.
