Tappers

Operating in Indianapolis, Indiana, since its opening on April 4, 2016, Tappers Arcade Bar quickly established itself as the city’s first retro arcade bar, bringing a unique social and recreational hub to the historic Fletcher Place neighborhood. The venue offers a distinctive blend of classic arcade entertainment and a craft beverage experience for patrons aged 21 and older. Visitors can enjoy over 60 free-to-play classic arcade games, including titles such as Galaga, Ms. Pacman, and Donkey Kong, alongside 25 meticulously maintained pinball machines. Additionally, Tappers features vintage console systems like Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64, boasting a library of over 1,000 games.

Founded by Jeff Moulton and Austin Howard, who drew inspiration from similar arcade bars in other cities, Tappers has become a notable destination for those seeking a nostalgic gaming experience paired with a rotating selection of local and regional craft beers and custom cocktails. Beyond casual play, the establishment hosts regular events, including monthly IFPA-sanctioned Silverball ShoDown Pinball Tournaments and Indy Championship Series League Play, fostering a community around retro gaming in Indianapolis. Tappers has contributed to the local nightlife by providing a space where adults can relive childhood memories and engage in a communal gaming atmosphere.
