The Wormhole

The Wormhole, a dynamic music venue and neighborhood pub located at 2307 Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia’s Starland Design District, opened its doors in December 2008. Founded by Amy Stafford, the establishment transformed a former furniture store into a vibrant cultural hub, initially facing challenges to secure a lease and undergoing extensive renovations. Despite early hurdles and navigating the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Wormhole has maintained its operation, becoming a fixture in the local community.

This “dive bar with class” offers a diverse range of entertainment beyond its role as a prominent concert venue for both local and national acts. Patrons can engage with billiards, darts, arcade machines, and pinball, alongside free-to-play classic video game consoles such as NES, Sega, and Nintendo 64. The Wormhole also hosts regular events including trivia nights, karaoke, and pool tournaments, providing a consistent recreational outlet for Savannah residents and visitors. Recognized with “Savannah’s Best” awards in categories like open mic night and best bar to spot a celebrity, it continues to serve as a significant gathering place for live music, comedy, and varied social activities.
