Operating in Columbus, Ohio, since its opening on September 23, 2016, Pins Mechanical Company at 141 N. Fourth Street serves as a vibrant social gathering place, offering a blend of classic entertainment and modern hospitality. Founded by entrepreneur Troy Allen’s Rise Brands, this downtown Columbus location was the inaugural Pins Mechanical Company, designed to foster connection through playful, non-traditional experiences. The venue provides a diverse array of attractions, including duckpin bowling, pinball machines, arcade games, ping pong, foosball, bocce, and oversized yard games like Giant Jenga. Patrons can enjoy craft beers and specialty cocktails, with food trucks frequently on-site.
Pins Mechanical Company holds significance for the local community as a multi-generational entertainment hub, welcoming families during the day and transitioning to an adult-focused establishment in the evenings. The building itself has a history, having previously housed a National Tire & Battery shop and an earlier Columbus tire company. In 2024, Rise Brands purchased the building, signaling a commitment to the location and plans for expansion into the second floor. While Rise Brands’ nearby 16-Bit Bar+Arcade closed its original downtown location in March 2025, the company has expressed intentions to explore integrating elements of 16-Bit into the Fourth Street Pins, continuing its role as an “adult playground” that provides a distinctive social experience beyond traditional bar settings.
