Putt Putt Fun Center: Fernandina Beach

Putt Putt Fun Center, also known as Putt-Putt Amelia Island and Main Beach Putt-Putt, has served as a recreational landmark in Fernandina Beach, Florida, since its opening in 1959. Recognized as one of the longest continually operating Putt-Putt franchises in America, the venue was briefly known as Bounceland Putt Putt Golf in the early 1970s. Located at 6 North Fletcher, this establishment offers two 18-hole, competition-style miniature golf courses situated by the beach, maintaining the classic Putt-Putt experience. Beyond golf, the center includes a cafe, Beach Bum Burgers, which provides a selection of casual dining options like burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream.

The facility holds a significant place in the community, often remembered by locals as a cherished site for childhood birthday parties and family outings. Former owner and Florida Senator Aaron Bean once worked at the course as a teenager, leaving his mark in the record books for a low score. The Putt-Putt Fun Center has also gained recognition within the professional putting circuit, hosting major events such as the National Putt-Putt Championship in 2015 and 2020, and again scheduled for October 2025. It has attracted several national Putt-Putt champions to the area who relocated to train and compete on its courses. In 2025, the original clubhouse, dating back to 1959, was replaced with a new structure, ensuring the continued operation of this historic venue, which is also a part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail.
