Recbar

Recbar, located at 10301 Taylorsville Road in Louisville, Kentucky, opened its doors in April 2016, offering a unique hybrid entertainment experience to the local community. Founded by restaurateurs Corey Sims and Tony Thomas, the venue emerged from their shared passion for arcade games and a desire to bring the growing arcade bar trend to Louisville. After years of collecting games and securing a suitable location in Jeffersontown, Recbar established itself as a multi-generational destination. It is recognized as Louisville Metro’s largest arcade bar, providing a diverse selection of over 60 arcade games and more than 70 pinball machines, alongside table games, console lounges, a full bar with an extensive bourbon list, and a pub-style menu.

The establishment serves as a community hub, welcoming all ages until 10 p.m. before transitioning to an adult-only environment. This approach allows Recbar to cater to various social occasions, from family outings and date nights to corporate events and gaming competitions. Its array of classic and modern games, including titles like *Mortal Kombat*, *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles*, *Skee-Ball*, and *Pinball Action*, fosters a sense of nostalgia for older patrons while introducing these experiences to new audiences. Recbar’s success in Louisville led to the expansion of the concept with additional locations, including Recbar 812 in New Albany, Indiana, and Tilty Bob’s in Lexington, Kentucky.
